أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بُكَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ هَشَشْتُ فَقَبَّلْتُ وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ فَجِئْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ لَقَدْ صَنَعْتُ الْيَوْمَ أَمْرًا عَظِيمًا قَالَ «وَمَا هُوَ» قُلْتُ قَبَّلْتُ وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ فَقَالَ ﷺ «أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ مَضْمَضْتَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ» قُلْتُ إِذًا لَا يَضُرُّ قَالَ «فَفِيمَ»

✧ Umar b. al-Khattab said, "I became aroused and kissed while I was fasting. I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'I have done a grave thing today.' He said, 'What is it?' I said, 'I kissed while fasting.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'What do you think if you rinsed your mouth with water?' I said, 'Then it would not harm.' He said, 'So why worry?'"
