✧ A man said: O Messenger of Allah, I am destroyed. He said: "What is that?" He said: I fell upon my wife on a day in the month of Ramadan. He said: "Free a slave." He said: I cannot find one. He said: "Fast two consecutive months." He said: I cannot. He said: "Feed sixty poor people." He said: I cannot find. Then the Prophet ﷺ was brought a basket, and he said: "Take it and give it in charity." He said: O Messenger of Allah, on other than my family? By the One in whose hand is my soul, there is no one between the two sides of Madinah poorer than me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed until his canine teeth showed, then said: "Take it and seek forgiveness from your Lord."
