✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: I am destroyed. He said: "What is your matter?" He said: I fell upon my wife. He said: "Can you find a slave to free?" He said: No. He said: "Can you fast two consecutive months?" He said: No. He said: "Can you feed sixty poor people?" He said: No. He said: "Sit." Then a large basket (ʿaraq) containing dates was brought, and it is the huge container (miktal). He said: "Take this and give it in charity to sixty poor people." He said: There is no household between its two lava tracts poorer than us. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed until his canine teeth showed and said: "Take it and feed your dependents."
