أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ
«لَوْ أَنَّ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ وَادٍ آخَرُ وَلَا يَمْلَأُ فَاهَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ وَاللَّهُ يَتُوبُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ»

✧ If the son of Adam had a valley of gold, he would love to have another valley, and nothing fills his mouth except dust, and Allah turns in mercy to whoever repents.
