أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي وَجَعِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ «يَا عَائِشَةُ مَا فَعَلْتِ الذَّهَبُ» قَالَتْ قُلْتُ هِيَ عِنْدِي قَالَ «فَأْتِينِي بِهَا» وَهِيَ بَيْنَ السَّبْعَةِ وَالْخَمْسَةِ فَجِئْتُ فَوَضَعْتُهَا فِي كَفِّهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «مَا ظَنُّ مُحَمَّدٍ بِاللَّهِ لَوْ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَهَذِهِ عِنْدَهُ أَنْفِقِيهَا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the illness in which he died: "O 'A'ishah, what did you do with the gold?" She said: I said: It is with me. He said: "Bring it to me." It was between seven and five. I brought it and placed it in his palm. Then he said: "What does Muhammad think of Allah, if he meets Allah while this is with him? Spend it."
