✧ A lesson on mourning and its likeness.

أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

لَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ ابْنُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَاحَ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ هَذَا مِنَّا لَيْسَ لِصَارِخٍ حَظٌّ الْقَلْبُ يَحْزَنُ وَالْعَيْنُ تَدْمَعُ وَلَا نَقُولُ مَا يُغْضِبُ الرَّبَّ»

✧ When the son of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away, Usama bin Zaid started crying. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This is not from us, the one whose heart is filled with sadness and eyes are streaming with tears, and he does not say anything that angers the Lord."
