✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed over a funeral, and I memorized from his supplication while he was saying: “O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, pardon him, honor his dwelling, expand his entrance, wash him with water, snow, and hail, and purify him from sins as a white garment is purified from filth. Replace his home with a home better than his home, a family better than his family, and a wife better than his wife. Admit him into Paradise and protect him from the Fire and from the punishment of the grave,” until I wished that I were that deceased person.
