✧ In the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when a man died owing a debt, he would ask: "Does he have anything to fulfill it?" If it was said: "Yes," he would pray over him; and if it was said: "No," he would say: "Pray over your companion." When Allah granted His Messenger the conquests, he said: "I am more entitled to the believers than their own selves. Whoever leaves a debt, it is upon me; and whoever leaves wealth, it is for the heirs."
