✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ camped between Dajnan and 'Usfan and besieged the polytheists. They said: These people have a prayer that is dearer to them than their sons and their virgins — meaning the 'Asr prayer. So make up your mind, then fall upon them with one single assault. Then Jibril came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and ordered him to divide his companions into two groups, to lead the first group in one rak'ah while the other group took their guard and their weapons, and when he had led them in one rak'ah they would move back and the others would come forward, and he would lead them in one rak'ah while those others took their guard and their weapons. Thus each group had one rak'ah with the Prophet ﷺ.
