✧ Prayer for rain

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الذُّهْلِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ

«اسْتَسْقَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَعَلَيْهِ خَمِيصَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ فَأَرَادَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ بِأَسْفَلِهَا فَيَجْعَلُهُ أَعْلَاهَا فَلَمَّا ثَقُلَتْ عَلَيْهِ قَلْبِهَا عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for rain while wearing a black cloak. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to take hold of its lower part and make it its upper part, but when it became heavy on him he turned it over onto his shoulder.
