أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ سَأَلَ أَبَا وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيَّ مَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْفِطْرِ وَالْأَضْحَى؟ قَالَ «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ بِ ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ وَاقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرَ»

✧ Umar b. al-Khattab asked Abu Waqid al-Laythi what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite on Fitr and Adha. He said, 'The Prophet ﷺ used to recite Qaf. By the Glorious Quran, and The Hour has drawn near and the moon has split.'
