أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعَطَّارُ بِالْبَصْرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ يُرِيدُ سَفَرًا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَوْصِنِي فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أُوصِيكَ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ وَالتَّكْبِيرِ عَلَى كُلِّ شَرَفٍ» فَلَمَّا وَلَّى الرَّجُلُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اللَّهُمَّ ازْوِ لَهُ الْأَرْضَ وَهَوِّنْ عَلَيْهِ السَّفَرَ»

✧ A man came intending to travel and said, “O Messenger of Allah, advise me.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, “I advise you to fear Allah and to say Allāhu akbar at every elevation.” When the man turned away, the Prophet ﷺ said, “O Allah, roll up the earth for him and make the journey easy for him.”
