✧ I asked A'ishah about the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ night prayer. She said: "He would sleep at the beginning of the night, then get up. When it was the pre-dawn time, he would pray witr, then come to his bed. If he had a man's need for his wife, he would fulfill it. When he heard the call to prayer, he would spring up; if he was in a state of major ritual impurity, he would pour water over himself, otherwise he would perform ablution, then go out to prayer."
