✧ “Our Lord wonders at two men: a man who rises from his bed and cover, from between his beloved and his family, to prayer. Allah, Mighty and Exalted, says: ‘Look at My servant, he rises from his bed and cover, from between his beloved and his family, to his prayer, out of desire for what is with Me and fear of what is with Me.’ And a man who fights in the path of Allah, and the people flee, but he knows what is upon him in fleeing and what is for him in returning, so he returns until his blood is shed. Allah says to His angels: ‘Look at My servant, he returned hoping for what is with Me and fearing what is with Me, until his blood was shed.’”
