أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْبُسْرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ
«تُعَادُ الصَّلَاةُ مِنْ مَمَرِّ الْحِمَارِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالْكَلْبِ الْأَسْوَدِ» قُلْتُ مَا بَالُ الْأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْأَصْفَرِ مِنَ الْأَحْمَرِ؟ فَقَالَ فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَمَا سَأَلْتَنِي فَقَالَ «الْكَلْبُ الْأَسْوَدُ شَيْطَانٌ»

✧ “The prayer is repeated because of the passing of a donkey, a woman, and a black dog.” I said, “What about the black one as opposed to the yellow and the red?” He said, “I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ just as you asked me, and he said, ‘The black dog is a devil.’”
