✧ I saw a man from Khurasan come to him and say, "O Abu 'Amr, those among us from Khurasan say that when a man frees his slave woman and then marries her, he is like one who mounts his own sacrificial camel." Al-Sha'bi said, "Abu Burdah narrated to me from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: «Three people will be given their reward twice: a man from the People of the Book who believed in his prophet and then lived to see the Prophet ﷺ and believed in him and followed him, so he will have two rewards; a slave who fulfills the right of Allah, Glorified and Exalted, upon him and the right of his master upon him, so he will have two rewards; and a man who had a slave woman and fed her well and disciplined her well, then freed her and married her, so he will have two rewards.»"
