✧ When the sun had set and night became clear to him, Ibn ‘Umar would sometimes have his evening meal brought forward while he was fasting, while the muezzin was calling the adhān and then the iqāmah, and he could hear it. He would not leave his dinner nor hurry until he finished his dinner, then he would go out and pray. He said, ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Do not hurry away from your dinner when it is served to you.”’
