أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْعَطَّارُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَنَفِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ انْتَظَرْنَا الْحَسَنَ وَرَاثَ عَلَيْنَا حَتَّى قَرُبْنَا مِنْ وَقْتِ قِيَامِهِ جَاءَ فَقَالَ دَعَانَا جِيرَانُنَا هَؤُلَاءِ ثُمَّ قَالَ قَالَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ

انْتَظَرْنَا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ حَتَّى كَانَ شَطْرُ اللَّيْلِ فَجَاءَ فَصَلَّى لَنَا ثُمَّ خَطَبَنَا فَقَالَ «إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ صَلُّوا وَرَقَدُوا وَإِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَزَالُوا فِي صَلَاةٍ مُذِ انْتَظَرْتُمُ الصَّلَاةَ»

✧ We waited for the Prophet ﷺ one night until the middle of the night came. He came and prayed with us, then gave us a sermon and said: "Indeed, the people have prayed and slept, but you will continue to be in prayer as long as you have been waiting for the prayer."
