أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَقْرَبُكُمْ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَكَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ «يَقْنُتُ فِي صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ وَصَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ وَصَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ بَعْدَ مَا يَقُولُ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ فَيَدْعُو لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَيَلْعَنُ الْكَافِرِينَ»

✧ “By Allah, I am the closest of you in prayer to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” And Abū Hurayrah “used to perform qunūt in the noon prayer, the night prayer, and the dawn prayer after saying ‘Allah hears the one who praises Him,’ then he would supplicate for the believers and curse the disbelievers.”
