✧ I said, 'I will certainly look at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, how he prays.' So I looked at him when he stood up. He said the takbir and raised his hands until they were level with his ears, then he placed his right hand over the back of his left hand, wrist, and forearm. Then when he wanted to bow, he raised his hands similarly, then bowed and placed his hands on his knees. Then he raised his head and raised his hands similarly, then prostrated and placed his palms level with his ears. Then he sat and spread out his left thigh and placed the tip of his right elbow on his right thigh, and formed a circle with two of his fingers, then raised his finger. I saw him moving it, supplicating with it. Then I came after that in a time of cold, and I saw the people wearing heavy clothes, their hands moving under the clothes.
