Sahih Ibn Hibban 1775

Translation

✧ “When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said the takbir, he remained silent between the takbir and the recitation.” I said: “May my father and mother be your ransom, tell me about your silences between the takbir and the recitation.”

• أَخْبَرَنِي مَا تَقُولُ فِيهَا؟ قَالَ «اللَّهُمَّ بَاعِدْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ خَطَايَايَ كَمَا بَاعَدْتَ بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ اللَّهُمَّ نَقِّنِي مِنْ خَطَايَايَ كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ اللَّهُمَّ اغْسِلْنِي مِنْ خَطَايَايَ بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ»
