✧ The virtue of the five daily prayers

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَخَّرَ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ شَطْرُ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ صَلَّوْا وَنَامُوا وَإِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَزَالُوا فِي صَلَاةٍ مُذِ انْتَظَرْتُمْ» قَالَ أَنَسٌ «فَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ خَاتَمِهِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the 'Isha' prayer until half the night had passed. Then he came and said, 'The people have prayed and slept, but you have remained in prayer since you began waiting.' Anas said, 'It is as if I am looking at the glint of his ring.'
