machine translationḤanẓalah b. Abī Sufyān narrated it, and there is disagreement about him. ʿAnbasah b. ʿAbd al-Wāḥid narrated it from Ḥanẓalah, from Sālim, from his father, from the Prophet ﷺ. Wakīʿ, Isḥāq b. Sulaymān al-Rāzī, Qāsim b. Mālik al-Muzanī and ʿUbaydullāh b. Mūsā contradicted him, and they narrated it from Ḥanẓalah, from ʿIkrimah b. Khālid, from Ibn ʿUmar, from the Prophet ﷺ, and this is the correct version. However, in the hadith of Qāsim b. Mālik it is ʿIkrimah b. Khālid, from Ṭāwus, from Ibn ʿUmar. The correct version is what ʿUbaydullāh b. Mūsā said, for he preserved its chain precisely.

machine translationYazīd al-Taymī al-Aʿraj narrates it from Mujāhid, from Ibn ʿUmar as his own statement (mawqūf). Likewise Abū al-Jawzāʾ Aws b. ʿAbdullāh and Wabarah b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated it from Ibn ʿUmar as mawqūf. Its being raised to the Prophet (marfūʿ) is sound (ṣaḥīḥ).
