Sahih Ibn Hibban 1372

✧ The impurity and its purification

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ بِحَرَّانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْخَطَّابِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْفِرْيَابِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُؤْتَى بِالصِّبْيَانِ فَيُحَنِّكُهُمْ فَأُتِيَ بِصَبِيٍّ فَبَالَ عَلَيْهِ فَأَتْبَعَهُ الْمَاءَ وَلَمْ يَغْسِلْهُ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was brought infants and he would perform taḥnīk on them. A baby boy was brought, and he urinated on him, so he followed it with water and did not wash it.
