أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْفُرَاتِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ مَوْلَى زَيْدِ بْنِ صُوحَانَ قَالَ

كُنْتُ مَعَ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيِّ فَرَأَى رَجُلًا قَدْ أَحْدَثَ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَنْزِعَ خُفَّيْهِ لِلْوُضُوءِ فَقَالَ لَهُ سَلْمَانُ «امْسَحْ عَلَيْهِمَا وَعَلَى عِمَامَتِكَ فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى خِمَارِهِ وَعَلَى خُفَّيْهِ»

✧ I was with Salman al-Farisi when he saw a man who had broken his wudu and wanted to remove his two khuffs for wudu. Salman told him, “Wipe over them and over your turban, for I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping over his khimar and over his two khuffs.”
