أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«أَغْلِقْ بَابَكَ وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَفْتَحُ بَابًا مُغْلَقًا وَأَطْفِئْ مِصْبَاحَكَ وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ وَأَوْكِ سِقَاءَكَ وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ وَخَمِّرْ إِنَاءَكَ وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ وَلَوْ بِعُودٍ يُعْرَضُ عَلَيْهِ»

✧ Shut your door and mention Allah's name, for the devil does not open a shut door. Extinguish your lamp and mention Allah's name. Tie your waterskin and mention Allah's name. Cover your vessel and mention Allah's name, even with a stick placed across it.
