machine translationAbū Bakr b. al-Munkadir narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Saʿīd b. Abī Hilāl and Bukayr b. ʿAbdullāh b. al-Ashajj narrated it from Abū Bakr b. al-Munkadir, from ʿAmr b. Sulaym al-Zuraqī, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī Saʿīd al-Khudrī, from his father; they preserved its chain and narrated it well. Shuʿbah narrated it from Abū Bakr b. al-Munkadir, and there is disagreement about ʿAlī b. al-Madīnī concerning it. Tamtām said from him: from Ḥaramī b. ʿUmārah, from Shuʿbah, from Abū Bakr b. al-Munkadir, from ʿAmr b. Sulaym, from Abū Saʿīd. Muḥammad b. Muḥammad al-Bāghandī said from him: from Ḥaramī, from Shuʿbah, from Abū Bakr b. al-Munkadir, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī Saʿīd, from his father. Saʿīd b. Salamah b. Abī al-Ḥusām narrated it, and there is disagreement about him. ʿAbd al-Ṣamad b. ʿAbd al-Wārith and Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Malik b. Abī al-Shawārib said from Saʿīd b. Salamah, from Muḥammad b. al-Munkadir, from ʿAmr b. Sulaym, from Abū Saʿīd. ʿAbdullāh b. Rajāʾ said from Saʿīd b. Salamah, from Muḥammad b. al-Munkadir, from his brother Abū Bakr, from ʿAmr b. Sulaym, from Abū Saʿīd. ʿUmar b. Muḥammad b. Ṣuhbān narrated it from Abū Bakr b. al-Munkadir, from ʿAmr b. Sulaym, from Abū Saʿīd; and Abū Bakr b. al-Munkadir has no [other] name. ʿUthmān b. Ḥakīm narrated it from ʿAmr b. Sulaym, from Abū Saʿīd, and did not state explicitly that it was raised to the Prophet; he said: "It is from the Sunnah to perform ghusl." Zuhayr b. Muḥammad narrated this hadith and said: from Muḥammad b. al-Munkadir, from Jābir, and he erred in it. Rather, Muḥammad b. al-Munkadir narrated it from his brother Abū Bakr, from ʿAmr b. Sulaym al-Zuraqī, from Abū Saʿīd. The first statement is the correct one.
