أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ أَبُو يَعْلَى بِالْأُبُلَّةِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ صَاحِبُ الْحِنَّاءِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ

دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ وَأَنَا أَغْتَسِلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَ أَغُسْلُكَ هَذَا مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ؟ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَعِدْ غُسْلًا آخَرَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنِ اغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ لَمْ يَزَلْ طَاهِرًا إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ الْأُخْرَى»

✧ Abu Qatadah came to me while I was bathing on Friday and said, “Is this bath of yours due to janabah?” I said, “Yes.” He said, “Perform another bath, for I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, ‘Whoever bathes on Friday remains pure until the next Friday.’”
