✧ The Virtue of Wudu

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ

رَأَى أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ حَتَّى كَادَ يَبْلُغَ الْمَنْكِبَيْنِ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ حَتَّى رَفَعَ إِلَى السَّاقَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ أُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ غُرٌّ مُحَجَّلُونَ مِنْ أَثَرِ الْوُضُوءِ» فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يُطِيلَ غُرَّتَهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ

✧ He saw Abu Hurayrah performing ablution, washing his face and hands until he almost reached the shoulders, then washing his feet up to the shins, then said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: My community on the Day of Resurrection will have white blazes and white marks from the traces of ablution. So whoever among you can extend his blaze, let him do so.
