حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُجَمِّعُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ مُجَمِّعِ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ قَالَ:
شَهِدْتُ الْحُدَيْبِيَةَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفْنَا عَنْهَا إِذَا النَّاسُ يُوجِفُونَ الْأَبَاعِرَ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُ النَّاسِ لِبَعْضٍ: مَا لِلنَّاسِ ؟ فَقَالُوا: أُوحِيَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: فَخَرَجْنَا نُوجِفُ مَعَ النَّاسِ حَتَّى وَجَدْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَاقِفًا عِنْدَ كُرَاعِ الْغَمِيمِ، فَلَمَّا اجْتَمَعَ إِلَيْهِ بَعْضُ مَا يُرِيدُ مِنَ النَّاسِ قَرَأَ عَلَيْهِمْ ﴿إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا ﴾فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَوَ فَتْحٌ هُوَ ؟ قَالَ: إِي وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، إِنَّهُ لَفَتْحٌ ; قَالَ: فَقُسِمَتْ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ عَلَى ثَمَانِيَةَ عَشَرَ سَهْمًا، وَكَانَ الْجَيْشُ أَلْفًا وَخَمْسَ مِائَةٍ، وَثَلَاثَ مِائَةِ فَارِسٍ، فَكَانَ لِلْفَارِسِ سَهْمَانِ

I witnessed al-Ḥudaybiyah with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When we returned from it, the people were urging their camels on, and some of the people said to others: "What is the matter with the people?" They said: "Revelation has come to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." He said: So we went out urging our camels on with the people until we found the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing at Kurāʿ al-Ghamīm. When as many of the people as he wished had gathered to him, he recited to them {إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا}. A man from among his Companions said: "O Messenger of Allah, is it a conquest?" He said: "Yes, by the One in whose hand is my soul, it is indeed a conquest." He said: Then it was divided among the people of al-Ḥudaybiyah into eighteen shares. The army was one thousand five hundred, including three hundred horsemen, so the horseman received two shares.
