When al-Rabīʿ was asked: "Will you not seek treatment?" he said: "I wanted to, then I remembered ﴿وَعَادًا [١]وَثَمُودَ وَأَصْحَابَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ كَثِيرًا ﴾, and I realized that there were ailments among them and they had physicians, yet the one who treated and the one who was treated both died."
