✧ The asceticism of the Successors, may Allah have mercy on them

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَاضِرٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ قَالَ:
لَقَدْ أَدْرَكْتُ سِتِّينَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ عَبْدِ اللهِ فِي مَسْجِدِنَا هَذَا أَصْغَرُهُمُ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقْرَأُ ﴿إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ ﴾حَتَّى بَلَغَ: ﴿فَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ ﴾، قَالَ: فَبَكَى ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنَّ هَذَا لَإِحْصَاءٌ [١]شَدِيدٌ
