حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ:
كَانَ النَّاسُ وَرَقًا لَا شَوْكَ فِيهِ، وَإِنَّهُمُ الْيَوْمَ شَوْكٌ لَا وَرَقَ فِيهِ، إِنْ سَابَبْتَهُمْ سَابُّوكَ [١]، وَإِنْ نَاقَدْتَهُمْ نَاقَدُوكَ، وَإِنْ تَرَكْتَهُمْ لَمْ يَتْرُكُوكَ
