حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَلَّى بْنُ زِيَادٍ قَالَ: قَالَ مُوَرِّقٌ الْعِجْلِيُّ:
أَمْرٌ أَنَا فِي طَلَبِهِ مُنْذُ عَشْرِ سِنِينَ لَمْ أَقْدِرْ عَلَيْهِ، وَلَسْتُ بِتَارِكٍ طَلَبَهُ أَبَدًا، قَالَ: وَمَا هُوَ يَا أَبَا الْمُعْتَمِرِ ؟ قَالَ: الصَّمْتُ عَمَّا لَا يَعْنِينِي
