حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي الْأَحْوَصُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ - وَكَانَ قَدْ قَرَأَ الْكُتُبَ - قَالَ:
إِنَّ اللهَ أَوْحَى فِيمَا أَوْحَى إِلَى مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ: إِنَّ أَحَبَّ عِبَادِي إِلَيَّ الَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِالنَّصِيحَةِ، وَالَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى أَقْدَامِهِمْ إِلَى الْجُمُعَاتِ، وَالْمُسْتَغْفِرُونَ [١]بِالْأَسْحَارِ، أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أُصِيبَ أَهْلَ الْأَرْضِ بِعَذَابٍ ثُمَّ رَأَيْتُهُمْ كَفَفْتُ عَذَابِي، وَإِنَّ أَبْغَضَ عِبَادِي إِلَيَّ: الَّذِي يَقْتَدِي بِسَيِّئَةِ الْمُؤْمِنِ وَلَا يَقْتَدِي بِحَسَنَتِهِ

Indeed God revealed, among what He revealed to Mūsā, peace be upon him: "Indeed the most beloved of My servants to Me are those who walk upon the earth with sincere advice, those who walk on their feet to the Friday prayers, and those who seek forgiveness [1] at the hours before dawn. Those are the ones that when I intend to afflict the people of the earth with punishment and then I see them, I withhold My punishment. And indeed the most hateful of My servants to Me is the one who follows the evil deed of a believer and does not follow his good deed."
