Machine translation, not reviewed
I saw a man on the day of Yarmūk who wanted to sell himself [to God], while a woman was begging him [to stop]. He said: "Keep this woman away from me. If I knew that what I want would befall her, I would not begrudge her. By God, if I am able, this will not move from its place" - and he pointed with his hand to a mountain - "and if you gain control of my body, then take it." Qays said: We passed by him, and afterwards we saw him slain in that battle.
