حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ السُّلَمِيِّ قَالَ:
جِئْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْجِهَادَ مَعَكَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، أَبْتَغِي بِذَلِكَ وَجْهَ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَيَّةٌ أُمُّكَ ؟ قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: الْزَمْهَا، قُلْتُ: مَا أَرَى فَهِمَ [١]رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِّي [٢]، فَأَعَدْتُ عَلَيْهِ مِرَارًا فَقَالَ: الْزَمْ رِجْلَيْهَا [٣]فَثَمَّ الْجَنَّةُ

I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I want to go out in jihad with you in the way of Allah, seeking by that the Face of Allah." He said: "Is your mother alive?" I said: "Yes." He said: "Stay with her." I said: "I do not think the Messenger of Allah ﷺ understood me," so I repeated it to him several times. He said: "Stay at her feet, for there is Paradise."
