حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ:
لَأَنْ أَسْتَنْقِذَ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مِنْ أَيْدِي الْكُفَّارِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ جِزْيَةِ الْعَرَبِ
