حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ قَالَ:
أَقْطَعَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، طَلْحَةَ أَرْضًا، وَكَتَبَ لَهُ بِهَا كِتَابًا وَأَشْهَدَ بِهِ شُهُودًا فِيهِمْ عُمَرُ، فَأَتَى طَلْحَةَ، عُمَرُ بِالْكِتَابِ فَقَالَ: اخْتِمْ عَلَى هَذَا، قَالَ: لَا أَخْتِمُ عَلَيْهِ، هَذَا لَكَ دُونَ النَّاسِ ؟ قَالَ: فَانْطَلَقَ طَلْحَةُ وَهُوَ مُغْضَبٌ، فَأَتَى أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ: وَاللهِ مَا أَدْرِي أَنْتَ الْخَلِيفَةُ أَوْ عُمَرُ ؟ قَالَ: لَا، بَلْ عُمَرُ لَكِنَّهُ أَبَى
