حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ شَيْخٍ لَهُمْ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ يَقُولُ:
لَئِنْ بَقِيتُ إِلَى قَابِلٍ لَأُلْحِقَنَّ سَفِلَةَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ فِي أَلْفَيْنِ أَلْفَيْنِ
