حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ:
دَخَلْنَا عَلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ - وَهُوَ شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ وَقَدْ سَقَطَ حَاجِبَاهُ عَلَى عَيْنَيْهِ - قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ: أَخْبِرْنَا عَنْ هَذَا الرَّجُلِ؛ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؟ قَالَ: فَرَفَعَ حَاجِبَيْهِ بِيَدَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: ذَاكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ الْبَشَرِ
