We used to boast over the people about four: our jurist, our storyteller, our muezzin, and our reciter. Our jurist is Ibn ʿAbbās, our muezzin is Abū Maḥdhūrah, our storyteller is ʿUbayd b. ʿUmayr, and our reciter is ʿAbdullāh b. al-Sāʾib.
