The family of al-Aswad had a ruqyah (incantation) with which they would treat venomous stings in the time of ignorance. He said: Al-Aswad presented it to ʿĀʾishah, and she ordered them to use it for ruqyah. He said: And ʿĀʾishah said: "There is no ruqyah except for the evil eye or a venomous sting."
