حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ:
قَالَ سَعْدُ [١]بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْقَارِئُ يَوْمَ الْقَادِسِيَّةِ: إِنَّا لَاقُو الْعَدُوِّ غَدًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ، وَإِنَّا مُسْتَشْهَدُونَ، فَلَا تَغْسِلُوا عَنَّا دَمًا وَلَا نُكَفَّنُ [٢]إِلَّا فِي ثَوْبٍ كَانَ عَلَيْنَا
