Genealogy of Our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Some Accounts of His Forefathers and Ancestors
[ النعمان بن المنذر نَسَبُ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ ] فَمِنْ بَقِيَّةِ وَلَدِ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ نَصْرٍ النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، فَهُوَ فِي نَسَبِ الْيَمَنِ وَعِلْمِهِمْ النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ نَصْرٍ، ذَلِكَ الْمَلِكُ. قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ، فِيمَا أَخْبَرَنِي خَلَفٌ الْأَحْمَرُ.
Translation
✧ [Al-Nuʿmān b. al-Mundhir: The Genealogy of al-Nuʿmān b. al-Mundhir] Among the remaining descendants of Rabīʿah b. Naṣr was al-Nuʿmān b. al-Mundhir, and according to the genealogy and knowledge of the people of Yemen, he was al-Nuʿmān b. al-Mundhir b. al-Nuʿmān b. al-Mundhir b. ʿAmr b. ʿAdī b. Rabīʿah b. Naṣr, that king. Ibn Hishām said: He was al-Nuʿmān b. al-Mundhir b. al-Mundhir, as Khalaf al-Aḥmar informed me.
