Tarikh (al-Tabari) 4285

Then the year 359 AH began

Translation

✧ Mention of the Byzantines' possession of Malazkard In this year, the Byzantine king sent an army to Malazkard, one of the districts of Armenia. They besieged it and straitened the Muslims who were in it, and they took possession of it by force and compulsion. Their might became great, and the Muslims feared them in all regions of the lands. All of it became abandoned, not defending against them, as they headed wherever they wished.
