Then the year 343 AH began
وَفِيهَا وَقَعَتِ الْحَرْبُ بِمَكَّةَ بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِ مُعِزِّ الدَّوْلَةِ وَأَصْحَابِ ابْنِ طُغْجَ مِنَ الْمِصْرِيِّينَ، فَكَانَتِ الْغَلَبَةُ لِأَصْحَابِ مُعِزِّ الدَّوْلَةِ، فَخُطِبَ بِمَكَّةَ وَالْحِجَازِ لِرُكْنِ الدَّوْلَةِ وَمُعِزِّ الدَّوْلَةِ وَوَلَدِهِ عِزِّ الدَّوْلَةِ بَخْتِيَارَ، وَبَعْدَهُمْ لِابْنِ طُغْجَ.
Translation
✧ In it, the war occurred at Makkah between the companions of Muʿizz al-Dawlah and the companions of Ibn Ṭughj from the Egyptians, and the victory was for the companions of Muʿizz al-Dawlah. So the khuṭbah was delivered at Makkah and the Ḥijāz for Rukn al-Dawlah and Muʿizz al-Dawlah and his son ʿIzz al-Dawlah Bakhtiyār, and after them for Ibn Ṭughj.
