The year 197 AH
( وَفِيهَا كَانَ بِالْأَنْدَلُسِ غَلَاءٌ شَدِيدٌ، وَكَانَ النَّاسُ يَطْوُونَ الْأَيَّامَ، وَيَتَعَلَّلُونَ بِمَا يَضْبُطُ النَّفْسَ ).
Translation
✧ (In this year there was in al-Andalus a severe famine, and the people endured days without food, and they distracted themselves with whatever could restrain the soul).
