Then the year 158 AH began

ذِكْرُ أَوْلَادِ الْمَنْصُورِ   مُحَمَّدٌ الْمَهْدِيُّ، وَكَانَ وَلِيَّ عَهْدِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ، وَجَعْفَرٌ الْأَكْبَرُ، مَاتَ فِي حَيَاتِهِ، وَأُمُّهُمَا أَرْوَى بِنْتُ مَنْصُورٍ، وَعِيسَى، وَيَعْقُوبُ، وَسُلَيْمَانُ، وَأُمُّهُمْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ مُحَمَّدٍ، مِنْ وَلَدِ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، وَجَعْفَرٌ الْأَصْغَرُ مِنْ أُمِّ وَلَدٍ كُرْدِيَّةٍ، وَصَالِحٌ الْمِسْكِينُ مِنْ أُمِّ وَلَدٍ رُومِيَّةٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا: قَالِي الْفَرَّاشَةُ. وَالْقَاسِمُ مِنْ أُمِّ وَلَدٍ أَيْضًا. وَالْعَالِيَةُ مِنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ.

Translation

✧ Mention of the children of al-Manṣūr Muḥammad al-Mahdī, who was his heir apparent after him; and Jaʿfar al-Akbar, who died during his lifetime—their mother was Arwā bt. Manṣūr; and ʿĪsā, Yaʿqūb, and Sulaymān—their mother was Fāṭimah bt. Muḥammad, of the descendants of Ṭalḥah b. ʿUbayd Allāh; and Jaʿfar al-Aṣghar, from an umm walad of Kurdish origin; and Ṣāliḥ al-Miskīn, from an umm walad of Byzantine origin called Qālī al-Farrāshah. And al-Qāsim, also from an umm walad. And al-ʿĀliyah, from a woman of the Banū Umayyah.
