Then the year 155 AH began
ذِكْرُ عِدَّةِ حَوَادِثَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ أَنْكَرَتِ الْخَوَارِجُ الصُّفْرِيَّةُ الْمُجْتَمِعَةُ بِمَدِينَةِ سِجِلْمَاسَةَ عَلَى أَمِيرِهِمْ عِيسَى بْنِ جَرِيرٍ أَشْيَاءَ، فَشَدُّوهُ وَثَاقًا، وَجَعَلُوهُ عَلَى رَأْسِ الْجَبَلِ فَلَمْ يَزَلْ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى مَاتَ، وَقَدَّمُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ سِمْكُو بْنَ وَاسُولَ الْمِكْنَاسِيَّ جَدَّ مِدْرَارٍ.
Translation
✧ Mention of several events In this year, the Ṣufrī Khawārij gathered in the city of Sijilmāsah disapproved of things in their emir ʿĪsā b. Jarīr, so they bound him in fetters and placed him on the top of the mountain, and he remained thus until he died. They put over themselves Abū al-Qāsim Simkū b. Wāsūl al-Miknāsī, the grandfather of Midrār.
